A Mack truck dangling over a cliff along Lake Erie near the border of Lackawanna and Hamburg appears to have been put there intentionally. The U.S. Coast Guard on routine patrol spotted the commercial vehicle hanging over the cliff side and called it in to Lackawanna police shortly after noon today. Authorities found rocks holding down the gas pedal of the vehicle, located about a quarter of a mile west of the windmills along the lake’s edge. The truck was owned by Metalico Transport, a scrap metal processing firm.
