A lot of us in the LE community have become fans of zip ties for restraining subjects. While the 2 collar style are the best, often we are given the single strap versions (migrants, large groups, etc). That’s why you zip tie them by another method; have them cross their wrists…behind their back, not in front; then wrap the zip tie around the wrists, preferably between the officer and the suspect and not around the wrists from the side.
