DEA Training Material & It’s Free!

If you go to the DEA website they have some pretty good pictures/training tools available for you all. There are two pages on this site that may come in handy. I’m sure most of you that do counter narcotics already have training aids, but if not you can use this site. The first link is a photograph database of about 1000 different narcotics. It also has a photo gallery (8 pages) of some of the DEA’s biggest drug bust, including the hidden compartments in which they were stored. There is some good info on there. I finally know what 207 million US dollars looks like.

The second link is a detailed database of illegal narcotics. It includes a TON OF INFORMATION on each substance including:
Control Status, Street Names, Short-Term Effects, Long-Term Effects, Trafficking Trends, Use/User Population, Arrests/Sentencing, Drug Seizures, Legislation, Photos, & Useful Links. The information given on the site is invaluable.

There is also a database of pictures and video from some of the DEA’s most successful busts, which you can check out here. They also have a vast wealth of other info available to the general public. Check it out. You can also search their US map of suspected Clandestine Drug Labs.
